FLT is located in Charleston, MO which is known as the "Bootheel" area. In the early days, FLT was primarily a refrigerated carrier. The company was started with 1 power unit, 2 trailers, and 3 employees. Over the course of the years it went through a name change, a buy-out and was revived again in 2004. The main service area was in and out of California. The decision to refocus our business direction to Mexico was established then. In late 1993, decision was made to convert the entire fleet to 53 foot air ride van trailer. With this change, coupled with he NAFTA agreement in 1994, the focus of business became service to and from Mexico. Over the ensuing years the company has grown to over 155 Power units, 575 trailer, and 245 employees. Still headquartered in Charleston, MO the offices and shop occupy 12 acres.
